my brother spend a lot of time and money on online games..he spends a minimum of 4 hours in front of the computer.a lot kids here are also addicted to these games..RAGNAROK,RUN,OTTOJAM,WARCRATFT..everything!you name it..so alot a kids nowadays are wasting more time on the games rather than their studies..and it is really bothering me knowing that these kids are more interested in games full of killings and terrorism..
so how do we control these kids from getting addicted to onlines games??

Too much of anything is a bad idea even if its good for you. I have been a game addict since the 80's it started with the old arcade games and than I have a ti-99, pre pc computer. Than it was NES and than onto my first pc and its all been down hill after that. I read that usually when someone with a addictive personality breaks one addiction its because they only pick up another like people gaining weight when they quit smoking.

I started with the arcades, and then got a Commodore 64. I was totally addicted to Bard's Tale and Red Storm Rising. I'm not as addicted to gaming right now, but know that I could easily fall back into it.

i play runescape, and i am an adult, i know pleanty of people who play it along with things like WoW and Ragnarok.
yes these games are addictive, but you need to limit yourself so that you can do all other normal day to day things.
if your brother is really badly addicted, then you need to say something to your parents and hope that they try and get him interested in real life things, rather than just these games.
often it is not the content of a game that makes it addictive, more the enjoyment gotten out of playing them. if you want to try and pry kids away from these things, you need to be offering another kind of enjoyment to replace it. it is no use just saying "get off that" and then not offering something else to do.
