I do have songs that bring me to tears. There is a song called "Butterfly Kisses" and I think of my daughter growing up and leaving me to start her new life and that song makes me cry so much! I also know of this song you are speaking of. It too is a sad song and would make me cry too.

There are many songs that touch me deeply and make me cry, its almost as if the songs allow memories and emotions to surface. "Crosses" by Jose Gonzalez gets to me everytime because of the meaning and sentiment in the song. There are other songs which seem to have no meaning like 'Blue Sky' by Peter Gabriel, this one is quite joyful but shot through with a subtle sadness. a lot of the time its songs that have been around at difficult and challenging times of my life and they seem anchored in my memory.

Just a few weeks ago while browsing my music collection, I came across the song 'Oh My Papa (by Mr. Eddie Fisher). I was really moved listening to the song. It reminded of the days when my father was still alive and the times we spent together.

there are so many songs that move me, unchained melody by the righteous brothers, amazing grace, the old rugged cross (those spirituals remind my of my grandmother who raised me and has passed away now)

I know this probably isn't a very well known song to a lot of people but the song "Save Me" from Queen makes me cry when I hear it. It reminds me of my first true love who was take from me by a car accident.

What's in a song? For me, it doesn't matter what the song is. When I feel sad or angry at the time I hear a song which speaks of my feelings, I will always be moved to tears. At other times though, a certain song I hear from out of the blue that reminds me of sad days will make tears come to my eyes.

I personally only like songs that have a meaning for me.If I can't relate to a song then I won't listen to it.I think that music should move your soul.It should also give you something to think about and consider.

Oh yeah! But I didn't cried! It's a Filipino song so I'm sure you don't know it. It's called "Ted Hannah" by Parokya Ni Edgar. That's one of the best sad songs I have heard. It talks about a guy who wanted to show the girl he loved that she is really meant for him and he wanted to love her forever. It has a nice lyrics and very depressing melody. If you want to hear the song, go to my website: www.ronreyes.co.nr then go to the Music page and find the song "Ted Hannah". It's 100% free and 100% safe to download. The file is only playable in Windows (Windows Media Player). Thanks & God Bless! - Ron Reyes www.ronreyes.co.nr

When some one is moved to tears by a song, then it is obvious that the song has a very heart touching effect. And so also the person has really entered into the spirit of the song. That is why over-flow of tears. Though such songs and tears are of very rare for me but I always accept them as thoughts of very high spirit, which poets and thinkers always long for. Thanks.

I am a music lover and music moves me. I have been moved to tears by a few songs. There are two that stand out in my mind and still have the same effect on me today. The song in Ghost the movie that Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg played in. The Song was Unchained Melody. That was a song that just wound it self around my soul and pulled on my heart strings. I cried and still do when I hear the song. Whenever I hear the song the movie comes to mind and the tears start to flow all over again. The other one was a song from Titanic. This movie was a very strong movie. The song in it that brings tears every time I hear it is My Heart Goes On. That is a very powerful song and again I think of the movie when I hear this song and the tears start to flow.

I can list many Indian songs which moved me to tears, like the one based on the Indo-China war....but for the international audience i can also say that the song which moved me to tears are...John Lennon's "Imagine".... and of late being Eminem's "Mockingbird" Some songs do touch a nerve.....
