An 'indoor' gardening question; seeking help with house ferns

House ferns have to be among my favorite indoor plants but I always manage to nearly kill them off even though I try to keep them watered. Can someone provide me with some tips? Do you think maybe transplanting them to the self-watering African Violet pots would help? Thanks!

I don't understand why you didn't get any responses to this discussion. Anyway, I just came across it, so here is mine.
Ferns are a beautiful but fragile plant as you probably know; they like humidity and shade, so positioning the plant in the house is critical. They also don't like wind, as it burns the leaves. Use a spray bottle to mist them every second day, as this will build up the humidity for them, and don't overwater. I hope this helps.
