trust

I've come to realize how many of my issues come from the simple fact that trusting God completely goes against everything the world tells you to do. They say YOU can do anything YOU put your mind to, but if that is not the will of God then it won't happen. So then it feels like a failure when actually it could have been a blessing...

The truth is that we can do nothing without the Lord. The Bible says that without Christ, we are nothing. We depend on God for everything, whether some want to admit to it or not. We even depend on Him for our every breath and heartbeat! God is so good! We need God and more people need to realize this fact. God is there and He loves us so very much! God bless!

I couldn't agree with you more. I think my biggest place of weakness is when I'm believing for my family to be changed by his love and grace. Since it doesn't happen in my timing I get anxious and I loose focus on the very thing you just told me. Another thing I have to keep reminding myself is that God let me go through things and it became my testimony. This is my family's testimony...it is their story with the Lord. i can't try to interfere.

That's right because it is a sacrifice. What I'm beginning to understand is that if something is easy then it may not be the best thing for me in the long run. Sacrifice builds character and understanding.

Oh, that is so true. Our society, our culture is at odds with Christianity. Unfortunately, there are many Christians who don't even realize it. God teaches us that His way is best and we know it is, but we want our own way, and our society encourages us to "do it your way," to take care of yourself first. It's not wonder that the most prescribed medicine today is an antidepressant.

That is sad, but it is understandable. People keep looking to certain things to fulfill them and when it doesn't, they get depressed. Many of them blame themselves and the truth is that they are supposed to be searching after something. That was divinely placed in their hearts, they are just searching for the wrong thing and therefore not getting what will fulfill them
