Hi, I've never brought a car on Ebay but I've certainly thought about it, but for me I guess the risks are too high! I'm looking for a runaround for my daughter at the moment so I shall probably go to a reputable garage as I know there is comeback if there's something wrong with it and they usually do inspections. Sorry to hear about your disaster with the car - what happened? Did you get your money back or did you manage to get if fixed?

after we had got a refund and got home after hours of getting lost in England, we went back on ebay and decided to search for cars that were closer to us. we found one that was 5 minutes down the road from us, so we went to check it out and take it for a test drive, and then went back and sorted out the bidding! so ebay can be a good place for motor shopping! x

Glad everything worked out ok, I managed to get my daughter a car from the local auctions in the end. Thanks for the best response btw

I bought a motor bike off ebay not long ago but the seller did say it wasn't running so I knew what I was getting myself into.
Did you tell the seller what happened?

yes, thankfully we called the seller the moment it happened and he came to our rescue with our money in his hand! We were very lucky though, there are many dishonest people who would not have been so good about it! x
