Do you wear bamboo clothes?

I just received a shirt made of bamboo fiber as a gift. It is amazingly soft and beautiful. It feels a lot like silk or cashmere. Apparently Bamboo fiber is breathable, wicks moisture better than cotton, is ultra-absorbant and fast-drying. There is a an agent in bamboo fiber called 'bamboo kun' which is said to give cloth natural anti-bacterial deodorant properties. Fabrics that are 100% bamboo have an SPF of approximately 14. I love all of this and plan to look into buying more bamboo clothing. The bamboo plant reaches maturity in about 3 years and is one of the world's most sustainable plants. It is actually a tropical grass (not a tree) with an extensive root system and grows to heights of 60 feet or more. Some species grow up to 4 feet per day. It can be grown without pesticides. Bamboo has been used for many things for centuries now, my personal favorite is handmade paper. Now the bamboo pulp can be extruded into fiber for use in yarn and fabric. Oh the possibilites.
