PayPal...a question for you all who are experienced with them..

I know they (paypal) has said your earnings need to either go into a checking account or need to be used for shopping online. I don't have a checking account anymore as strange as that sounds it's true. I don't have a savings account either. It got cleaned out when my husband had to take a temporary layoff for a few months last year. My question is, is there any way at all to get them to send out a check to me through the mail. Any help or answers you could give me would be greatly appreciated. And if it is possible please tell me how to get that done? Thanks in advance! D

No, PayPal will not send you a check in the mail. My suggestion is that if you have a friend whom you can totally trust, send them the money through PayPal, and ask them to mail you an international money order in that amount, for whatever currancy you use...but only if you really trust your friend. I wouldn't ask just ANYONE to do this!!!

you could ask a trusted relative as well and maybe offer a portion for the favor- they might be willing to help

The comment above about the debit card seems like an interesting and convenient way to go so I think I may check that out.

If you are planning to have Paypal for a long time, then ask them for a debit card. I found it easier than transferring my money from Paypal to our bank. You can go to their website and request a debit card. It works like a regular debit card. It will take around 2 weeks (mine was a week) after you requested it. Just try and it will be easier to get your money this way. I am not familiar if they will send you a check or not but I know it takes 3 or 4 business days to have ur money from paypal to ur bank account if you open one.

Don't have enough to open one now and will probably be a month until I can, so can you use the debit card to make puchases that don't have to be just online? If you have a chance let me know and thank you for your help.

How much does it cost to get the debit card I have been wondering about it and getting one. And does it cost to load money onto it? And does it have a yearly fee to keep it? My sister bought a debit card but it is a visa one from rite aid for $20.00 and she says it cost so much a month to keep and then so much everytime she loads it. So I was wondering if the paypal debit card is the same way?

I am sorry for not responding asap on your question but yes, your debit card, you can use it anywhere and widraw money on ATM...not only for online purposes. Paypal is with Mastercard so it is accepted to any store that accepts Mastercard. I am very satisfied with their debit card.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going with the debit card hing because I think it'll work pretty well for me. And by the way...,.what an adorable puppy!! I want to put a picture of my dog and cat on here for my avatar but I have no idea at all how to do it. I don't own a digital camera either so I don't know if I can do it without one of those.

As others have suggested, apply for the free paypal debit card. You can use it as you would use a debit or credit card at any store-- and you can get cash back if the store allows it. For example, you could go to the groery store, buy a 50 cent pack of mints and then get 20 dollars cash back.

they won't pay you without having a confirmed bank account. sorry. maybe it would be in your interest to open a quick savings account with a few bucks in it just to get paid from paypal. you can always close the account after.

Yes I am sure they may do that but is cost like a $1.50 to get a check.Go to your account on paypal then You go to withdraw and then then it will bring up a page that will show you multiple things you can do bad thing though it takes 1-2 weeks to get your check from paypal. It sounds easy enough hope this works for you I went to pay pal and checked it out first so it can be done..good luck and happy posting.

Didn't you know about paypal, that once you add your credit card number, you can withdraw your amount in your bank account. once you open an account in paypal, they will ask you to enter your credit card's number, where you have to put your credit card's number & activate it using activation mail in your email. that's all u need to do to get all your money in your own bank account.

I opened the paypal money market account so that my pennies from posting would earn and grow for me over time. Last time I looked, it was getting 5% interest. The 20 or 30 bucks in there isn't going to make a big difference in my finances so I figure I won't miss it in the money market and it is working for me, not just sitting there. Good luck.

I don't understand this? I have used Paypal for years, & when I do a withdrawal, is goes straight to my bank account. It does take a few days, as I am in Austeralia, but it has never failed.

Hello! You need to have a confirmed bank account before you can retrieve your funds. Set up a bank account and activate paypal through it. And, once you place the request to transfer your paypal funds to your bank account - it can take 3-4 business days. I know, I have to do this everyday as I run an eBay business. You can also, after you set up bank info) get a paypal debit card which can be used online, in stores, or be used at an ATM machine to withdrawl your money up to $400/day. Paypal charges a $1 fee for using it at an ATM and you also may have fees from that particular machine - but it's worth it if you need your money right away & don't have 3-4 days to wait.

Yes, you do. I don't think there is any other way of getting your money out without having a bank account...at least none that I know of.
