Fed up with Mr. Bachchan

Seriously. I mean what the hell! In a country of one million, these guys can find only one person every time. The whole weekend, i saw three "exclusive" interviews of Amitabh Bachchan on three different news channels. Not only that, every second or third advertisement on TV has Mr. Bachchan featuring in it. Pen, Chocolate, Credit Card, Hajmola, India, Samajwadi Party, you name it and Bachchan does a commercial for it. And still i have not talked about Bollywood where every movie has Amitabh Bachchan in one role or another. The saddest point is that year after year Amitabh Bachchan is voted as the "Indian of the Year" by plethora of news channels which conduct sms polls. I don't have any issues with Amitabh Bachchan but this thing is getting really annoying. I mean you don't want to see a 60+ year old bollywood actor every time you switch on your TV. I don't know whether Amitabh Bachchan is really that popular or is it the inept media that is creating whole of this stuff!

I think it is okay for him to have a couple of min of fame why begrudge him that.

I already mentioned that i have no issues with Amitabh Bachchan but to say the truth it's not just a couple of minutes but a large fraction of time we spend on watching TV. He is not the only one deserving "The Best Indian" award every year. India is a big big country and there are many many great persons. Why not acknowledge their deeds?
