Anyone saving for retirement? How do you do it, and how do you know what amount would be enough?
Are annuities normally the best thing or policies?

The best way is to invest in your employer offered retirement program like a 401K. Put as much as you can and if the employer matches , put the max of what they will match. If you don't have one at work is to start an IRA with a reputable company that offers no load mutual funds. A good company is T Rowe Price. I would stay clear of annuities because they pay you such a small amount and if you die early, they keep your money and none goes to your heirs. To determine how much you need, go to www.money.com and they have a retirement calculator to figure out how much you need.
