My baby has acting so differently this time. Her molars are now coming in and she is winey, clingy and does not want to go to bed. She was totally good and dealt with the front teeth coming in just fine, all of a sudden, she is taking this hard. What reccomendations can you give me? I give her tylonal before bed to help her sleep without pain. I dont know if I continue to give it to her during the day and night, will it not work because she has taken it too much. I mean I give her the dosage as required, but ever 4 hours to give a baby medicine seems like a lot to me, am I wrong? Does anyone know of any other old remodies for teething, maybe someone can share. Please, someone share with me! I hate to see her crying or trying to bite on everything, including me..lol...I dont know if the whole biting me thing has anything to do with her teething, maybe I am just giving her an excuse to do that. I will share I have tried to give her teething tablets, that didnt even seem to do anything at all. She acted just the same as she was before I gave them to her. I give her those teething cookies, she eats them right up now. When she was about 4 months old, those cookies worked wonders. I gave those to her even when she wasnt teething because she loved them so much. She still does. The only difference is that she is learning how to eat them with out making a huge mess, mothers who have fed their babies those butter cookies, know what I mean about the mess! Well now she will take a bite and chew it in her mouth, unlike before she would slobber all over it, rub it on her high chair or walker, or where ever it was that I gave it to her. Not only that she would rub it all over her clothes, hair. After a while I decided I would give her a cookie in the mid morning, right before I gave her a bath. I would feed her breakfast, let her play, crawl, jump in her jumper, then give her the cookie. After she finished her cookie I would put her in the bath, oh yeah, I made sure she didnt have her clothes on either, she would ruin every peice of clothing if it were up to those cookies. Well back to teething at this poing, much different I tell you. So if someone has an old remadie please share, otherwise I guess I am on my own to tuffen it out. Ok well thanks to all and to all have a good night or day.

Response #1 gave about the answer I would have. I would like to add the Motrin or Ibuprofen is taken less often so you are not giving so much medicine to her.

We are going through the same thing right now. My daughter just got 2 bottom molars and now she's getting 2 in the top. She went forever without getting new teeth and now she's getting them like mad and seems to be in a lot of pain. I agree the teething tablets don't really seem to do much. I've been giving her frozen waffles to chew on and popsicles. Popsicles can get very messy so I normally strip her down to a diaper for that one. Cold wash clothes are good too. Just give her anything safe to chew on to relieve some of them pain. I hope this helps and I hope those teeth come in pretty fast so this doesn't draw out for you or her. Isn't it so sad to see our little ones in pain?

What worked for me was a cold cloth that would soothe the inside of the teeth. If you can reduce the swelling you will reduce the pain. Also try the advil instead of the tylenol that seems to reduce the swelling a lot better and concentrate just a night a half hour before bed. Also you can try popsicles anything cold will help. If her pain continues there is baby oragel that can be used and numbs the area. Good luck and hope the baby feels better.
