I've had this nasty cold since last Friday. So far, I've taken Nyquil for it, and I've been drinking a lot of green tea with honey and lemon. I usually don't get many colds, but I now work a job that keeps me outdoors. The cold weather just makes my cold worse. Can you guys give me some favorite natural cold remedies you may have used in the past that really work?

Ok, I am not sure where you are located, but if you can find it, get some Dr Pepper made with pure cane sugar. Pour a 12oz can into a pot and add the juice of one lemon. Add 1 whole lemon sliced. Bring this to a boil and boil for 1-2 minutes. Allow to cool to a drinkable temperature. Pour into a coffee mug and sip while inhaling the fumes. I know it sounds crazy, but every time I have ever had a cold, this is what my mother would give me growning up and I still use it today at 34. It works. I swear it will cure a sore throat and ease a cough in 1 day. You can use regular old high fructose corn syrup Dr Pepper too, but you have to do it like twice a day for 3 days. It will help though.
