How important is your pet to you?

I miss my pets very much, especially my two cats, when I am away. I also have two dogs, two birds & three goldfish. The only 3way I can console myself is to reasure myself they are well looked after & happy at the cattery.

I have two pets, a dog that I rescued and a bengal cat. The cat is independent and gets along with the dog. They tease each other throughout the day and that keeps them entertained. The dog misses me and I miss him when I am gone. If I have to leave him for more than an average work day then I have my daughter take him. I love him and I hate to be away from him. He is my comforter and my companion. When I go on errands then he comes with me. I love having him close. I would go into a deep depression if anything happened to him. I think that taking a photo along when going on a trip is a great idea. I also leave a t-shirt that I have slept in for him so he has my scent. He likes to take my washcloth out of the bathroom when I am gone at work. I do not quite understand why he does that. He also will take my tennis shoes out and sleep with them in the hallway. I find them there all the time. I plan to get a pendant made with the fur of my last dog enclosed in it. I want a locket that I can carry a photo of my dog in so that I always have him with me. My birthday is coming up so I will let my daughters know about that.
