Why I can sign in at my account at yahoo

I just experienced the same thing over the weekend.
went to log into my IM and email and it wouldn't let me.
this was an account I had since 2001 and usedon a daily basis.
I searched for help and recovering passwords and changing passwords.....finally it said.....my account had been de-activated. I'm trying to see if it can be re-activated. so far I've got nothing but automated responses.

ok, I was wondering if you were finally able to sign into your yahoo account or not!
I got mine back!
I went to yahoo!answers and asked in a moderators forum why my account was de-activated and told them everything that I was having problems with.
They had sent me an email saying why my yahoo was deleted and when.....but they de-activated my account so I never got the email until today.....

If you have confident in typing the correct password then some one has stolen your password i mean some hakkers.It happened a while ago to one of my friend.he mailed me that he could not login to his yahoo mail which he has used for messenger too.He requested me not to delete the id from my messenger so that i can see when someone is logging that or not.he also sid that he has some 300 ids in address book.
we waited for 1 week but no one logged in with that id in messenger and then he created a mew mail id and informed all the friends.So proceed with creating a new id and there is a option to prevent password theft in the loggin dial up box pls use it to prevent the theft.
