I can lend a VERY patient and attentive ear to your woes and secrets and gossips but I can be a bigtime blah blah other times.
I talk more than people would actually like to listen, faithfully listen to people who talk more than necessary.
But I never seem to understand how my professor manages to put me to sleep!! lol
What would you be more like - talker or listener?

I am half and half, but I think i'm more of a listener. Even if I'm doing something, I can still pay attention to someone talking to me. I talk only if I need to talk or after listening to the person talking to me. I don't want to just barge in to someone who's trying to say something. But sometimes, if I want to say something right away, I tell it straight but still gives the person a chance to finish talking. It's how I show my respect to someone taalking. I love to listen to someone's woes or problems.. and I also love giving advices, although I don't force people to follow my advice, I just suggest what they have to do and let them realize it on their own and choose their decision.

i am both. i talk and talk if i have a problem and then i listen if somebody has a problem. in reality, we need to have a give and take relationship and so too much for anything is bad. too less for everything is also bad. just right is the exact formula of life. neutral is the best way.

I am more listener and less talker. I prefer to talk as less as possible and hear the words patiently then only reply suitably. There are people who starts answer without understanding the subject. My advise is that first listen patiently and then make comment in few words. Sometimes we have to start the talking in that case also balanced words should be uttered. Most of the people love to listen more, my observation is that.

I DO indeed listen before I speak, but am not the few-words kind, because I don't think I can be explainable to my listeners with just few words...especially when am advising them, you see a wrong one liner might send a wrong message, so am always careful and talk 'enough'.
