The power of a classified ad!

Our local paper has the reputation of being biased and basically garbage. However, their classified section is awesome! I placed an ad a year ago for a car I was selling, it sold by 6:30am the morning the ad was placed! This week I placed a free ad under "cheap stuff" for our above ground pool. It's in excellent shape, includes the pump, ladder, etc...We just want it gone, no time to take care of it. So I placed an ad for $100, buyer disassmebles and removes, everything included. The ad ran at 6am this morning and it's only 8:30 and I've had 3 phone calls, people are coming to check it out tonight. I'm amazed at the results a 3 line ad can get! Have you placed ads for stuff you wanted to sell? Did you get results?
