How often do you clean your home?

If you are like me, then you clean your home just before someone is visiting your place. Right? But, is this hygienic? I have a three year old running around the house, picking food from the floor, playing hide and seek in the bathrooms, jumping up and down the bed and what not. I wonder if I am putting him to any kind of health risk by not cleaning the house more often. Actually, this might sound like an excuse but I am too busy with all the other chores and cleaning is the last thing on my mind. Please suggest. Thank you in advance.

With my two kids,it can get quite messy. I pick up things and vacume every day. Once a week I will clean really well. I will dust, maybe mop the floor, that kind of thing. Do like I do, get some disinfectant spray. Spray the bathrooms with it daily. Get you a container of the disinfecting wipes also. Keep them in the kitchen so you can wipe down the counters while cooking. Those two things alone will help keep the house more sanitary inbetween cleanings, and it is quick to do.

I try to clean whenever it becomes quite messy. some of my friends have told that when we keep our surroudings clean, our mind will also think about a lot of positive things. I have experienced this quite sometimes. If the room is messy, my mind is cluttered.

We tend to clean as we go, therefore the house is always "presentable", but we only devote a few minutes a day to it, having a bigger clean-up when someone is visiting (or when coursework deadlines are looming - housework is a great activity for procrastination!)
