Have you ever had a holy cow idea?

And not known what to do with it? A real true money making idea and just not known how to get the product MADE? Distribution, I get that. I understand how this works. Advertising, I understand somewhat how that works, but how do you go about getting something made when you have to start from scratch and have no extra money for such things? I mean, my idea requires a new plastic mold and pellets... someone to test run the machine.. etc... I have so many of these. They come to me right before bed and I stay up sketching out my plans, but have no idea how to get it from paper to reality.

Have you checked out Cambrian House? (http://www.cambrianhouse.com/) It's a social networking site for developing ideas. They give funding to ideas that win approval through a group voting process, plus you can get people to pitch in and help for a share of credit and profits.

I never heard of it, but I will definately check it out. I still have yet to figure some things out about it. Like placement of the prong things. Its in my head, but not totally on paper even, cause I haven't figured out the configurations yet in relation to how the plug covers work.

yes yes yes oh God yes, I am a mad scientist. But not a sale's person. And I don't know where to go, or who to trust. To get it out there.

You bet I did. I saw a product on tv for hair. It was a natural oil product that you put on your hair before shampooing which helped damaged hair. It was a fortune though and I decided to make my own at home. I brought it to my hair stylist and she loved it so much she bought it from me to use on her customers. Everyone who tried it loved it and it was a fraction of the cost of the designer one. I researched it online and found the best oils for different colored hair and made two kinds, one for blondes and one for brunettes. That was my 'holy cow' idea.
