Heavy here means no simple dishes. In my community, dinner is very important, It is when all family members gather together to eat and share news. Not only there would be lots of noise, there will also be lots of dishes, sometimes a few courses. If it is a whole family dinner, usually the family will eat out. That means booking a table or two at any restaurants in town. There will also be some rare and expensive dishes. If it is just a family of four, there will still be three dishes and a soup. So, what about you?

For the two of us, a nice pot roast, a huge veggie salad with my favorite Patatas Italiano: Ingredients: 2 large cans small White Potatoes 1 large can Tomato Sauce 2 teas garlic salt 2 teas oregano 2 teas onion powder 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella 1 cup Parmasan Cheese Directions: Drain and rinse potatoes thouroughly, place in non-stick baking dish, add spices and tomatoe sauce. Mix well. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and add parmasan cheese on top of it. Bake at 400F (204C) until cheese is bubbly and browning. Sprinkle flaked parsley for color. Serve with pot roast, steak, roast chicken or baked lamb.

On a normal day here dinner is the biggest meal in the day. It is often the only hot meal we eat and I sit down with the kids and we eat it all together. If we have company it is often a 2 course meal when I would either serve a starter or a dessert.
