Eye Glass or Contact Lenses?

I have been wearing glasses since I was 12 years old. I only got to start wearing contacts when I started working. However, once my cornea got badly scratched due to the lenses being stuck to it and I had to force it out. I almost went blind. After that, I thought that it would be safer even if it is less convenient to go back to wearing glasses. It is better to put up with inconvenience than to lose my sight.

I don't look pretty with my glass so mainly I will wear contact lenses. I would like to have a eye surgery but worry the side effect of the operation. I will wait until one day I couldn't wear any more contact lenses.

I wear contacts, but my eyes have such a problem with drying out that the contacts often get lost in my eye or I rub it too much and end up scratching my eye. The doctor says its not bad enough to prescribe medicine, so I ended up ordering some glasses the other day. I can at least wear the glasses on days my contacts don't feel right. Like someone else on this post I also want to get the LASIK eye surgery, but have had a bad experience with surgery in the past 5 years so not yet :)

I used to have contact lenses and loved them, but now I always wear my glasses. They are really easy to reach for and put on quickly. I'd really like to get my eyes fixed with surgery, but my insurance won't cover it.

I'm nearsighted and have astigmatism in both eyes and will have to wear bi-focals after my next eyetest. I wish I could wear contacts, but can't because they don't make contacts for all of those problems together. They make them for astigmatism and for nearsighted together and for bi-focals and nearsighted together but not for all 3. I've worn glasses since I was 11 and don't have the money for lasik eye surgery.

Contact lenses....I look goofy in glasses! PLus they are more comfortable to wear and alot cheaper. I don't feel them at all - sometimes I forget to take them out because they don't make any fuss and are excellent on the eyes!

I wear glasses to read but hate having them on, so I don't wear them unless I absolutely have to see print. I have never had contacts, but would like to try them.
