Hi, I was just in a duscussion about hamburgers, and thought, what other personal variations do some of you have? Here's my all time winner recipe. Top class beef mince, into that that goes beaten egg, finely chopped onion, capsicum, a dash or two or three of worcestershire sauce, and the same with the best Thai Mushroom Soy, a teaspoon of vegemite (marmite if you're in the U.K., buggered if I know what to use in the US on that one, can anyone tell me what the US equivalent is?), mush it all up and you have the pattie mix. Once the patties are cooked and going on to a lightly toasted bun, I add, a bed of lettuce, sliced tomato, (Insert cooked pattie here), a slice of cheese, a fried egg, tomato sauce, a rasher of bacon, fried onion, pineapple, beetroot. Share your secret burger recipe, come on.

We like to take black beans, a little garlic, some feta cheese and mix it up with the meat and grill it. The beans are cheap and they extend your meat while adding protein and fiber and making the burger healthier. These taste great and have a very unique flavor. Great for anyone on a budget or just something with a little variety.

Hi, OK on the garlic, feta cheese and black beans are a new thought, thanks for that, certainly what I asked for. These variations are going to make a lot think about their burgers more next time they make them. Cheers.
