best way to make money?

i have only been with mylot for a short time, and i am unsure as to the best way to earn money on here. is it through making discussions up (like this one) or through replying to other peoples discussions? does it make a difference? is there a difference between the rate of pay for make your own or posting on other peoples discussion? or is it totally down to the content and length of each and every post you make? there isn't a break down of the formula that mylot use, and this is why i ask.
