It's seems we pet owners are getting the run around about the facts related to the pet food recall. I don't know about you but I would like the truth to be known about what is really going on. It was bad enough that we were informed that the possible culprit behind the recent pet food recall of all foods processed by Menu Pet Food was that it was tainted with rat poison that had been sprayed and used on the wheat imported from China and showed up as the "wheat Gluten" ingredient in the pet foods. Now we're getting the story that NO...it's not that,...but a chemical known as Melamine, a chemical used in the process to make plastics...like what is going on here? Why aren't we getting the real story?

I am glad someone think that being honest is the right thing. I got my kitten shortly before the recalls happened. And I was so scared to feed him the food that was left on the shelf I made him food. I am glad this is pretty much all over with but it was a pain in the butt.

But it still isn't over yet, now with the discovery of acetaminophen in pet foods, and they're aren't saying which brands

I know we keep getting different stories. I'm not sure what to believe. I'm just keeping a really careful watch on my pets and hoping that nothing goes wrong. Not much else I can do because I can't afford to feed them human food and according to some that is worse to do. So lets hope they figure it out soon and we know what to do.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should switch to the so-called "organic" pet foods but they are so expensive--did you know the Paul Newman's company makes organic pet food?? Newman's Own? Most of these pet foods you have to order on-line and with the shipping costs!! And my pampered brats won't eat "people" food anymore...I used to have a lot more cats...used to fed them a cat version of chicken soup--the chicken, broth, rice, veggies--they loved it--these two guys I have now--nope--When this business first happened I even went back and resoted to making a homemade baby type food--cooked up the chicken, diced it up placed it in the blender with the broth--and gave it too them--result--walked away from it--yikes--pampered on Fancy Feast only
