Who here practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

I'll start in April...I've done for 5 years Japanase JJ and I love grappling... What's your experience?

well i'm starting bjj soon, i got into mma i think like 2 years ago. i trained a bit w/ my brother but we never really did much grappling so hopefully i'll learn soon.

here is a simple explanation Brazilian JiuJitsu actually is a martial arts derived from Judo.As you can see both of these art have similarities in submission except Judokas have the ability to throw using brute strength and stamina Brazilian don't they just shoot so it simply means BJJ is a Lazy conversion of JUDO.but i love it BJJs have great stamina conditioning on the ground they don't get tired at all but find the ground as a resting place..in BJJ competition it is possible to compete with larger opponents because BJJ doesn't use strength but technique the smaller you are the better.in JUDO it is really impossible to defeat a much larger guy how can you throw a guy 2 foot taller than you???right??try it and you'll get a good ground conditioning... i sparred with judo masters all they do was to keep me slamming on the ground later it would just end me on the backmount with a rear naked submission without any effort...
