What would be the main factors for you to buy a skin care product?

There are so many skincare products on the market, how would you determine which ones to buy? Brand names? Commercials? Rave comments? (where would you get those comments from? Internet? Friends?) Packaging? Luck? For me, I used to listen to the commercials and brands names. Hmm some of the products are nice but some of them are a waste of money (it's more like my trial and error period). Now I usually go into forums/ product review site to see other people's comments first before buying.

I get one's either based on how I like the smell or it being something that I used before and found it worked well or by something recommended to me by a friend that used it and found it worked well . I have to watch what I get though as I am allergic to some of the products and never know until I try it to know for sure as I know I am allergic to something in some of them but have not been able to pin down what it is .

Oh I have been allergic to AHA and I will have to kick those products out of my list. Maybe you could pay attention to the ingredients of the items which make you allergic so that next time you can be all safe when you shop. Also, if you are trying new products, you can put a tiny amount on your inner arm area, sleep on it for a night. If no allergies come up, most likely you will be fine with the product.

Well, Since I am an Avon rep, I get to try out a lot of the new products before they come out. Not only can I order 'demo's' of things that will be introduced in upcoming brochures, I also get free products sent just to try it so I can tell others what I thought. I have also bought other things... like an infomercial for Natural Advantage. I spent about $150 on skin care. I like the products and can tell a difference, but now that I'm selling Avon, I want to try some of the new stuff. I order LOTS of Avon, because I love it, so I am able to tell people my own experiences with things. Plus, you can return anything that you decide you don't like. If you wanna take a peek, go to my webstore http://avonfun.com If you have any questions about anything, ask, and I'll tell you if I've tried it and what I think of it. Hmmm... I feel like I just wrote a commercial!! lol Sorry... I just really enjoy Avon.

I got to try a few Avon's items when it was still launched in Hong Kong and I found the qualities are quite nice. It somehow disappeared here due to too many competition and I have never experienced it again after.

I usually dont switch over from one product to another specially if it is a skin care product.Because if we tend to use any new product it can harm the skin specially face packs. If any of my friends suggest me that it is best and can suit your skin type i will make a attempt and that is how i choosed the product which i have been using for a long time. I feel we can rely upon the person who has used it rather than buying it after watching the commercials.

LOL, really? You're a really loyal customer. I do switch product from time to time and I am always out for the best LOL. I agree that commercials are conceiving.
