Can you expressed your feelings easily?

bunny tends to keep her feelings - I'm a bunny. I'm afraid to show my real feelings to other people. I'm quite a sensitive but lovable creatures. I'm loyal to those who love me.

I'm talking about mylot here. Since joining mylot, I found myself skipping on a lot of discussions. Most of my friends here may probably know by now how I tend to evade some of their questions. I can easily shared my perceptions or logical views but never my real thoughts and feelings. It is not because I don't trust my friends but I am a very private person by nature. There will be times when I felt the urged to pen down some aspects of my life but ended up restraining myself the last minute. My topics are mostly of general events and situations. Even while exchanging private messages, I found it difficult to share more than I can give. I noticed that a lot of the members here can easily post topics of their personal lives. Some of them are consistently penning down their real stories while others are created for the sole purpose of generating huge responses. This also goes to my offline friends. In all my life, only 2 people know the real me. They know my dreams, my yearnings and my weaknesses. With casual friends, I tend to put up a mask to shield myself from feeling vulnerable. This discussion I posted is, by far, the only one that I revealed a little of me. My questions are: Can you easily expressed your real thoughts and feelings while posting your own threads or responding to discussions? Do you tend to look from one topic to another choosing the safest one to respond? Do you enjoy expressing yourself? Or do you easily expressed yourself only when you're hurt? Being a bunny myself, I chose the 2nd question as I love to keep hopping for the topics that I deemed the safest. Do share your thoughts.

It's hard for anybody to express anything easily. It takes lot of time to understand and mould words than express ourself. Yes, I express my own thoughts while responding to any discussion or starting a discussion . Yes I tend to pick topic which has open end to respond .It's always better to produce a real life question than giving any chicken recipe in discussion. I had expressed my feeling when I was hurt and had huge negative discussion with two or three person and it resulted in decline of my start rating from 9 to 6 .

Hello,charms88. i am greensun, a newbie here.I find u are a very thoughtful person.yeah, you've said u could easily share your perceptions or logical views but never your real thoughts and feelings. I think u are right. Everyone has two sides in their thought. For example,my mother is always asking me to eat the food she had cook for me,though i don't like it,i will eat it happilu in front of my mother. As i don't want to see the disappointed impression on her face,so i do.You understand my meaning,my friend. welcome to mylot.I am a chinese.

I skip a lot to. I don't want to be in on any discussion that gets testy. I have on a couple of occasions to defend a friend, but they are few! I give more in responses than I do in the topics. Not everyone reads the responses and I feel a little better about it there. There are some things I just care not to share or do not care to discuss with anyone on here and If I did I would do that in private.

I don't have a problem expressing myself, and I also hop around. I answer topics that stimulate any sort of response. Sometimes when I proof read I delete some words that on second thought might be too much information but I feel pretty safe in my anonymity. If people I know in real life read this and cant handle it then I can't be worried about their hangups.

Can you easily expressed your real thoughts and feelings while posting your own threads or responding to discussions? - absolutely...I'm never one to skit around the truth or be evasive etc etc..I feel no need to be ya know. Do you tend to look from one topic to another choosing the safest one to respond? - never...I respond to topics that interest me (ie: parenting, gardening, religion & spirituality etc) and/or have been a part of my life or I've experienced etc (ie: homelessness, rape, stripping, addiction and so on) Do you enjoy expressing yourself? - its not a matter of necessarily enjoying it or not enjoying it, its just how I am...I have learned over the yrs that sharing my true thoughts, feelings and experiences has helped numerous others adn I'm the type that likes to help ya know...especially when one is dealing with some of the things I've dealt with... Or do you easily expressed yourself only when you're hurt? - LOL nope....I express myself ALL the time

I disagree that you call it a defect. I think you are more of an introvert type of person. Sometimes, loosening up a little of our feelings can help us greatly. :)

I can be both sides of the coin, very reserved and on the other side I can shock people with my easiness to talk about anything. I think it depends on my mood for one, my surroundings and who I'm with. Sometimes it's strange too, as sometimes I'll feel more at ease sharing something with a person I just met then a friend. But I think I'm a weird person so don't go by me lol

It all depends on the topics and the mood I am in. I happen to be one who express my frustration and unhappiness freely, yes, anger but not feelings. See my orange face is becoming red soon :P At times, I find it easier to share and bring the point across using personal stories, especially when commenting on something that involves feelings. Very naturally, human beings are more acceptable to listening to personal stories, especailly when we don't know each other. There would not be any awkward feeling since we don't see each other. That's what I feel. So, when responding to topics, I choose topics I can comment and give feedback on. The harder it is, the more challenging it is. It need not be the safest. Of course, I avoid taboo subjects which I felt should be discussed behind closed doors.

I guess I am another person who does not like to discuss my personal life on the internet. I will discuss my hobbies and my interests and maybe tell people about the time I almost burned down my kitchen but the very personal things, I will only discuss with family members. There are certain types of discussions that I will avoid but otherwise I will try to respond to a wide variety of topics.

I can easily say and express my feeling to whom I know I love and care about them , but I can't express it to strangers or any person , I need time to deal with others and commmunicate with them. May be when chating ,I can say whatever comes on my mind , but face to face , it really bit hard to deal with.

I think people can open up their feelings more openly if they are discussing their problems in a blog or in sum forum!because the advice you get from strangers aren't biased!since the stranger who is giving you any kind of advice doesn't know you he will support what is right!when you disuss your problems to your freinds they see only your side of the story and don't neccessarily give the right piece of advice!yes bt in my case i don't think i can open up my feelings and share any personal problems in some site or any kind of forums for people to judge you and discuss you!I am more of a private kind of person!i can't express my feelings that easily!
