out of nowhere comes sanjaya! this guy is making waves in this seasons american idol! his face is plastered in most websites and online discussion threads. votefortheworst has been calling out peeps to vote for him this year. im not saying the dude cant sing. but there's just something missing from this guy everytime he performs. to be honest, i kinda liked him when i first saw him during the city auditions, but now i can't help but think that he is still in idol running because i'm pretty sure that the indian community is behind him 100% no matter how awful his performance is. there's even a rumor that gwen stefani begged the producer of AI not to let sanjaya sing her song because he might murder it. but as simon said, if people like you then goodluck!

i think the last show he did pretty good. its like all the judges said if he puts in the effort he can sing good. his hair looked a little freaky on the last show. he does things to get people reaction so he knows what he is doing that is for sure.

I do not get why he is still there. I do not find him attractive or a very good singer - but i guess all have different taste. I ams ure he will not win though - or I hope he will not =)

Unlike most people I don't mind Sanjaya. The week before last, I even thought he did a really good job (60s music was the theme I think). He's very charming and doesn't seem flustered by Simon or what the other judges have to say about him. I think that for young girls, he's like the Ace of this season. No, he hasn't been that good, but there's still a lot of time for him to get kicked off, so I don't know why folks are so focused on him. I like seeing Simon annoyed, as do a lot of other folks I'm sure. He tries to sway the audience votes so he can end up with a candidate he likes. He didn't like Taylor Hicks and disses him at every opportunity, so I say let Simon stew awhile longer!

The thing I have against the way things are going right now is the "vote for the worst" faction. They are destroying people's possible careers that actually are very talented...they have a concerted effort every week to vote for Sanjaya because they think it will be really funny and damaging to AI if he wins....you can go on line and read their messages...they have all these people that are behind them..their intent is clearly stated..they want to bring down American Idol by mass voting for the worst singer...it is really a sad state of affairs when a show is popular and some don't like it so they can plot it's demise...just don't watch it doesn't appeal to a person...but why ruin it for so many and actually affect real talent...I see no way to stop it and they brag about that!! Simon is the least of the worries...this is a phenomenon that could have huge consequences...

See, my story is different. I didn't like him at first, but now I really do like him and even hope he wins. I know he has started a riot and a lot of people want him gone, but he honestly is working his stuff off and might make it. I like him because he is different. It's nice to have a different kind of singer for once. But not everyone will agree or like Sanjaya. Take a look at this girls page, she really hates Sanjaya. I don't get this Sanjaya thing at all. AI is supposed to be about singing. Not some funked up hair-do. My dh and I are fed up with AI. Sanjaya needs to go home and see who the real asingers are. Makes me wonder if he listens to himself. Does he think he sounds that good?

Well, in all Honest opinion, my thoughts are someone definately does like him, and Votes for him each week. In all reality, I still do not think or see how he will Win Idol this yr unless there is a Jinx to this Show this yr. but Honestly, this last week I do not think he was the worst and still deserves to be there for at least one more week. As for the Future, it really depends on what he decides to Sing, and if he pursues his Career. But there are a lot of people Voting for him that may actually also like him, or he would not still be there. But this yr. I feel a lot of the top 9 should have been gone before now, so nothing else can Surprise me.

I liked him in the auditions and I think he has a genuine personality that none of the other guys have. He is not the best singer in the world by far, but people like him. I think he should have not even made it in the top 12 personally, but I am glad to see a good hearted young man do well in such a cut throat type of situation.

just saw one or three times about this AI sanjaya malakar through internet. Amidst the talks that he is not really for AI but until now still there. One thing obvious is this "AI" show is just any "reality TV show", utilizing anything they can for ratings sake =)
