Mahalo..Mahalo..!Any of you out there familiar with Iz....and this phenomenal song of his, "Over the Rainbow"? I knew the musuic , but was confused until recently just whom had actually recorded it. This big guy passed away several years ago, but his music is keeping him alive in hearts and spirit worldwide. This particular is widely used in the entertainment world and in commercials,etc. Iz was taken from us way too soon...rock on Bruddah.

I don't think many people on here know who he is! Most people on here are either from Asia or the Phillippines or Canada! LOL I'm Hawaiian/Filipino with both sides of my family from Hawaii so of course I know who Braddah Iz is!

Yeah..but I just thought that with as popular as his "over the rainbow" has gotten with it beig used in movies , tv programs and lots of commercials, that people who like it just might have taken the time to find out who did it..Guess not..my mistake ...Oh well..

Braddah Iz's version of Over the Rainbow is one of my most favorite songs in the whole world! It's so calming and soothing and touching! I will never get tired of hearing it! You're right, he was taken away from us too soon. A hui hou kakon, Braddah Iz and Aloha oe!!
