How much sleep do you get a night? Most experts now days beleive 8 hours of sleep a night is excellent when your younger then as you get older you can start getting less and less. I was just wondering how much sleep does a person typically get a night?

On a good night,I may get 5 hours of uninterupted sleep. And I get that long because of the sleeping pills my doc has recommended. Before that,I would get 4 or 5 hours of interupted sleep a night and often less than 2 .

That's no fun but sleeping disorders are to an epidemic proportion. There are people that just need to see a doctor to get some help for the disorder and they would do a lot better.

I sleep 6 hours a night. Doctors also advises us to sleep 8 hours a nigh. During weekends,i try to sleep 8 hours or more. Usually, i love to sleep for longer period. BUt being a mother, i have wake up early in the morning at six to make breakfast, feed my baby etc.

I think the typical amount of an average working woman or man is 6-7 hours. To be honest i don't find this enough. I like to get like about 9-10 hours of sleep lol. How ever i don't ever get what i want, normally i only get 5-6 hours of sleep. But there are other things that can really make your sleep more effective so you don't have to sleep so much. Like exercise and eating right. I know what you are telling yourself "they always relate everything to exerise and eating right" but truly i know that doing healthy things really does help other things in your life. Also getting stress out of your life is a good way to make your sleep more effective.
