Hello I have been having problems with my laptop computer, my cpu seems to be over heating, which is causing my laptop to switch off. I have opened Windows task manager and my cpu is running at 100%, i keep on top of my computer and clear the rubbish etc of it every other day. System Idle process has 96 on CPU where everything else is on 00 Is there anyway i could sort this out? Any advice would be great! Thanks

First, check the fun of the CPU to see if there is any rotation problem, or if it is stuffed with dust, then the fun should be cleaned or changed; if the CPU is always running at 100%, it could be attached by the virus 99%, then you must clean the virus. Have a try, Happy mylotting!

I'm sorry but that makes no sense. System Idle Process is the amount of your CPU that is NOT in use. If it says 96, than you are only using 4% of your CPU, not 100%. Exactly what kind of CPU are you using? Are you running a crappy Intel Celeron? If so, you'll never really get any decent performance out of it. Also, what brand is your laptop? Compaqs have a reputation for poorly cooled laptops. I used to have one that would just randomly overheat, shut down, and refuse to start back up. If it is still under warranty you should call the manufacturer.

It's not the problem of the process that are running. It might be the issue with the battery. Why dont you go and check with the vendor so that you wont be experimenting on that a wasting your valuble time.
