The motivation to win, they lack the commitment, they lack the eagerness to win. All they play is for survival of their place in the team rather than playing for the team to make it win. This is the worsest situation that it has faced in recent years. I don't see it to improve in the near future with no bench strength for the team right now. I feel that all the senior players should be dropped and new players should be introduced, even if they lose at least they will gain experience.

I think there are a few problems in the current team: 1) Motivation - There was no motivation in the team. Each of these people just seemed to go there and expect to win and they paid a heavy price for it. 2) Fear Psychosis - I think there was too much of fear of loosing which had crept in and people were over cautious against Sri Lanka and paid the heavy price. 3) Irresonsible Attitude of Coach - A coach who does not want to be accounted for and stand up and put his hand up if he commits a mistake does not inspire a team to do the same. Chappel was the biggest mistake for the Indian Cricket team. I hope we learn a lesson out of this and things become better from here. Cheers! Ram
