Chappell said now that India was knocked out of the World Cup, one of the major decision would be about Tendulkar's fate and he suggested the the batting icon to hang up his boots in the Midday news paper! Chappell drew a comparison with Brian Lara, who is almost four-year senior to the Indian, and felt both were "worlds apart" in effectiveness. "Laras quick-footed tip toe through a terrific innings against a good Australian bowling attack when the rest of the West Indies top order succumbed easily was in direct contrast to Tendulkars stumbling effort in the crucial Sri Lanka match," Chappell said. "The amazing thing about Laras brilliant career is the fact that he hasn't changed his style at all over 17 years", Chappell said "This is a credit to his technique and mental strength, as the ageing process generally makes a player more progressively conservative," he observed. Let us discuss about the PROPOSAL of removal of SACHIN

Not only Sachin, there are many in the team who should be moved out to make the team stronger. Team members should be selected not on their past records but on their current satistics... Well performing team members loose their concentration when they are pulled into modeling, and then they concentrate in earning money... Cricket team members are like soldiers fighting for the pride and honor of the country it represents.

Though I'm a major fan of Sachin, I feel that he is going to become past his prime, if he has not already become so. Not everybody can keep on soldiering year after year after year. His peers like Lara have been more fortunate with respect to fitness and form, but Sachin I feel has not really got much to prove to anybody. His fans know that he was the greatest ever batsman, and in the hearts of his fans, he will always be so. Lara for all his brilliance never got the nod from Donald Bradman like Sachin got. That incident was something that made a whole lot of people jealous, including Steve Waugh. Sachin however should realize that as he ages, his reflexes and eye sight go on deteriorating and that he must retire before he falls from grace. A person of his caliber requires a decent send-off and the longer he prolongs, the lesser are his chances of a respectable send-off. It would be a pity to axe somebody of Sachin's talent. He should retire before he gets booted out of the side.

No Friends, Chappell is Covering his failures by blaming Sachin. Sachin may not play well, but he is world's No.1 Batsman - no doubt about it. At the same time, what about other players? Sachin is not a Complete team, to win any match all the members must share their efforts. So blamming Sachin is completly wrong. This is the time all Cricket lovers can give support to Sachin. Chappell is trying to escape from his failures - we all must recognize this, first. T. Nagaraju CEO - www.whatyouseek.info

Tendular is a great batsman if he quits we have to replace him? answer is no we all know that tendular can play more years if he could even though he cannot give more runs to the team but he contributes as much as he can to the team

I think Sachin Tendulkar should get to prove himself as he is said to be the god of cricket bucause he is one of the best batsman inthe world but not just in a good touch. He needs a rest for few month's as due to to Chappel and Ganguly's fight few years ago leed to the removal of Saurav Ganguly from team as well as captainship.During that time Saurav Ganguly was running in the same form as now is Tendulkar but after so many month he looks a completely different batsman.Sachin Tendulkar should also be sent to play county cricket so that he is able to regain his lost form. Age limit is also a problem for Sachin as now he has grown oly and most of the people say that his bad form is due to his oldness. But,I dont believe because players more old than Sachin Tendulkar is playing but they are now in as good form as they used to be before. The operation of his tennis elbow would also be a fact for the poor performance in this few month's. Before Sachin Tendulkar used to his centuries almost every match but not He has not hitten a single hunderd in past 30 matches or so.This shows that he is going in such a bad form as well as his luck is not working as well.

I think the first think that Chappel should now be doing is to zip up his mouth and look at his job prospects. I mean after the failure what is the use of saying, this guy was never upto the task but I selected him, played him and he failed!! I think Chappel is too narrow minded in his approach and thus has failed spectacularly. He tried to address the Indian Coaching job from an Australian Perspective without understanding the Indian Pysche. Indians have always been motivated by a war cry. They have always needed leaders who can raise a slogan and work up a fire in the team. That was the reason for the success of Kapil's Devils. Kapil was never the astute thinker of the game, but his passion and his drive for the game worked his team mates to achieve spectacular success. The same is true for Saurav Ganguly whose shirt swinging antic was a statement that he made more to his team rather than to others as they saw at that moment that they have a leader around whom they have to rally. I just feel that Chappel should zip up and go back to Australia and start coaching some clubs there for Pura Cup. As far as Sachin is concerned, it is for the little master to think and analyse if he has been listening to much to the experts. I think he should go back to his opening slot and blaze away. Believe me he will still be around for the next world cup and his experience would stand India in good stead. Cheers! Ram

What Chappel said was actually right....If coming into the team and scoring 50s and 100s for your individual records means great ..then this Indian team havent learnt anything

REMEMBER... IN ANY SPORT... Its always good to retire when people are asking WHY.. and not when people ask WHY NOT.. but in sachinz case.. people are asking Y NOT.. which certainly would make it a right decision for Sachin to leave..!
