Early men did not have much knowledge on many things, they were far happier than we are, they had more peace. Man invented and discovered many things every day we try to find answers but the more knowledge we gather we become more miserable. may be that is why god asked not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge...............comment.

False. This is of course my opinion only. You see for me the more I know about something the more I feel happy because I can talk about anything under the sun and not feeling stupid about it. I guess it really depends on the person who is gaining the knowledge. But I don't think you can be miserable by being knowledgeable it's how use the knowledge which can lead you to a miserable life.

To me knowledge is like an hidden treasure, hidden somewhere, you need to search for it before you can get it.If you get it you will be happy and a break through as come to you and some generation that will come behind you.So the more you get a knowledge of a thing the more you are inform, and information is power.so i don't suscribe to that oppinion wish says the more you have knowledge the more missrable you are.

The more knowledge that you have, the more things that's gonna bug your mind. Ayt? Like what the movie spiderman said, "great power comes in great responsibility." and so as knowledge.

well come to think of it,i would definitely want to have the simple life back.the life where all that man ever had to worry about is how to kill the deer near the spring so they could eat.well i don't know, because in our generation right now, things are so complicated.and problems just don't seem to have an end.it's all so frustrating.

Hey interesting topic you got here! But I just like to answer this in a simple way. It's because technology makes our mind grow more mature. Those inventions were the reason why we became aware that there's more to life than sticks and stones and caves or whatever those things they've used in the early times. And I think my answer to your question will be false. I'm really thankful for those people who invented such things that makes life easier. I mean, without them, there would be no computers, medicine, tv, radio, internet, mylot, etc. Their inventions really made a big impact in our lives. It will just become miserable if the people will abuse this so called "knowledge" - Ron Reyes www.ronreyes.co.nr

we only become miserable because we use up the things we have now and can't wait until new stuff come out and furthers our knowlegde but we might have to wait a while and wouldn't be happy with that....that is what i think

well, you may be right. but, since eve had eaten the fruit of knowledge, then we have to live with that fact. don't blame anyone for the misery. knowledge is good, but too much of it is suffocating. it is time to learn how to manage your knowledge. just accept what is useful to you.

Yes you are right about this not that they did not have much knowledge but they did not have as much money as we have today and were a lot happier without the money, money has become greed and therefore human beings want more money today.

Well UI do not agree to it..... it is not that the early man were not unhappy.....i am sure for some or the reason they too would be depressed over something at times, as we are and similarly excited over the other things as we are...!!! And rather I see the technological advents and improvisation as a boom---infact someting we are takling about, it has been all very much possible due to this technology./.... are we unhapy...no ...we are not!! Rather we are fools--our greed, our own very blind greeeds mae us unhappy..... so it would rather not be the excess of knowledge making u miserable but the greeds that rise higher due to this knowledge is making u unhappy....a good post though...RATED

About life and work no. You may be more stressed because you know you can make more money for your family. Then you have to overcome moving up that ladder to get to the job that will allow you to do that. Sometimes in the work place the more your boss knows you know they put more work on you. cause they know you can do it..The you work harder for the same payday.... as far as health issues. yes with cancer the more I find the more miserable i get..as with some other health issues.. maybe that fruit was there to show all of us for years and years. that we have to be careful in the chioces we make at all times..

well i wouldnt agree that man became miserable by gaining knowledge and there is no way we can say that the early man was happier than what we are now.in fact gaining knowledge and inventing new things only tend to make our lives easier, simpler and happier.we only have the need to find out what is out there in the dark.try and shed some light into the mysteries of this huge universe and by no way this is going to make our life miserable.it only brings in a sense of joy in discovering the things that need to be explored.

Rajikoshy, the more knowledge we have but but wisdom, that's what makes us miserable. Like many children have knowledge but no wisdom to know what to do with it. We tell them that they're smart because of the knowledge but they can't handle so they become braggarts. The Bible says in all your getting to get understanding. Understanding is the principle thing.

I do not think the more knowledge you have makes you miserable. I think its the wisdom to know how to handle that knowledge. You can have all the knowledge in the world but wisdom is far better.

there's nothing wrong with acquiring too many knowledges. what matter is how and where u use that knowledge. with a vast amount of knowledge, you can do right with almost anything, anywhere. but to gain more knowledge, you need to make use your other part of brain doing something else. make both part of your brain works and you'll be the ultimate genius!
