Why do you love to buy designer clothes and accessories?

We girls or women love our branded clothes and accessories. Nine West, Tommy H, Louis Vuitton, Coach Bags, Victoria Secret, Christian Dior. And men also love their Armani, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and etc. Is it because it's part of your self fulfillment? that you won't stop until you buy it. Or is it part of your vanity? gives you an ego boost, especially when you're representing yourself to someone important. Maybe it's the exceptional quality of the product? compared to those knock-offs or fake? For whatever your reason is, please do share your thoughts.

I am a woman i don't like designer brands at all. I think it is annoying that a very small group of people decide what I should like. The fact that the designers also don't seem to have a moral fibre in their body is appallling to me. They don't seem at all embarassed about the fact that they make use of fur exessively or leather for that matter. Another objection to me is the redicilous prices they charge for a brand name. I am so sorry, but creating something that is only supposed to be catered to the elite and then making other people believe that their own possessions are worth less because they don't have a certain logo or name on it seems utterly wrong to me. So not every girl likes branded clothing.

Well, I think it is vanity. While I know many women and men are hung up on status symbols trying to prove their self-worth to the world, I am more interested in what is on the inside of a person. Are they truthful, are they loyal, are they honest, do they take what doesn't belong to them, or do they "do unto others as they would have them do unto them?" Those are the values that I am looking for in people. I could care less what brand of clothes or accessories they are wearing, as long as they look presentable. People are too hung up on the shallow things that mean absolutely nothing in the big picture of life. It is what is on the inside that really counts.
