I've never lived anywhere where there has been a local Aovn lady to me, so i've never had their catalogues delivered to me or really had a chance to gewt interested in Avon products. A young lady came round the other day asking if i wanted a catalogue, so intrigued i said yes! I've ordered a few things from it, just under £20 worth (but i seem to be getting a lot of items for that!) and i'll get them in a few weeks time. What should i expect form the products? I've ordered some perfume which comes with a free bag with body lotion & bubble bath in it, some room/linen sprays, some Foot Works items (on BOGOF!), some of the chariy pin badges (i collect Breast Cancer pin badges), and that's it i think. Do you order from Avon locally, how long have you been using their products, what do you think of them?

Their products are okay, the bubble bath is great. It makes tons of bubbles! My favorite scent from them is the naturals vanilla. It smells SO good. I especially like it in the shower gel. I have been ordering Avon for about 5 years or so. Some of the stuff is really nice, other things you can tell are really cheap. If you get a chance, you should try mark. It's the same company as Avon but the products are better in my opinion:)

I've not heard of the brand Mark. Is it available in the UK?

Mark is sort of aimed at younger women, they have amazing makeup and very cool trendy products. Not sure if it's available in the UK, I believe it's fairly new, you could always ask your Avon rep!

I use Avon products, and sell them too. I don't sell a lot, I just bring a few books for people at work. I use a lot of the products. I love the anti-perspirant, and it's great. You'll be happy with your products, and the beauty of it is if you're not you return them, no questions asked.

I used to be an Avon lady and then had a friend at work. A few years after the job and no avon, I ordered from a lady that had set up her truck in the parking lot. I find Avon products at the flea markets I go to and then I know I can order Avon online. A girlfriend that I worked with recently sells Avon and when I go online I can give her credit. I bought some deodorant at a community sale today. I think that you will enjoy the products very much and the room spray especially. I have had contact on and off with Avon for 20 years. Be careful they tend to discontinue things a bit much for my taste.

I have noticed that a lot of times, they will discontinue something for a while, then bring it back later. I've noticed that with lipstick colors mainly. But they have to have something new to catch your eye twice a month, so that must be hard to keep up with. Maybe the supply runs out so ot's gone for a few months until they ca re-introduce it. I'm not sure. But you can also find much more on the website than in the books. For anyone who is looking for an Avon lady, I posted my link a few comments up...

I usually only order from Avon for the Skin-So-Soft and for the chap stick when they are on sale. Avon products are very good, just look for the bargains and your money will go farther.

I placed an Avon order about a month ago. It was my first Avon order in yearsssss. An Avon lady drove through our development and placed an Avon book in everyones driveway. It was the first Avon book I've seen in a long time. I ordered a necklace and some earrings. The Avon representative had her email address on the book, along with her phone number. So I was able to place my order on the computer, which was nice. It took a couple weeks for her to contact me that my order was in. She said she had been sick. One thing I was a little surprised about was that when she delivered my order, there were no free samples in the bag. I remember years ago when I use to order alot, I always got free little samples and I always looked forward to them. I guess maybe things have changed. Oh well, anyway I would still buy from Avon again. I think their merchandise is nice.

The reps all do it differently. We have to buy everything, including those little samples, so some reps do buy them and some don't. I always include 1 or 2 little samples plus a small gift. I also have an occasional draw, etc. The customers who order regularly from me also get a special 10% off their order.

I sell Avon here in the U.S. They have some wondeful colognes, but I would suggest only buying them when they are on sale, as they are pricey. Ask your representative for samples, if she has them. Haiku and Odyssey are my favorites. Their Footworks products do work quite well. They usually have real cute stuff for every holiday. Their newest mascara is pricey, but it is a good deal when it is on sale, which is often. I, sometimes, am my best customer! I use their bath oils, shower gels, makeup, slippers, purses and some of their Anew products. The Anew products are very pricey, but they do work. I have my cousin hooked on them. Basically, I say buy their items when they are on sale, uless there is something you just absolutely cannot live without for full price.

All the items i ordered were on offer, except for the pin badges. The room/linen sprays were 2 for £3.00, which i thought was really good value as they're normally £3.50 each. I got some perfume which was not only half price (£8) but also came with a free cosmetics bag, a pot of body lotion and a tube of bubble bath/shower gel, so fantastic value! I got another tube of shower gel that matches some items i already had that i got given as a gift. That was 1/3 off, so £2 instead of £3. The Foot Works items (i got pedi-peel pads and a foot cream) were BOGOF (buy one get one free). I did have a look at their mascara but they didn't seem to have anything in waterproof, and i only use waterproof.

I usually order mine online. For me it is easier that way. It doesn't take very long for the products to arrive. I used to sell it in the States, but I find I like ordering the stuff so much better.

Well, my mom is a Mary Kay lady with her side job, but I have crossed the boundary lines. LOL My sister bought me a gift basket from them once with all these bath products like body lotion, bubble bath, and things like that. I REALLY liked it all, so I imagine you will be happy with your stuff. If a company is good with a few products, then they usually care enough to make the rest of the products of stellar quality as well.

I also sell Avon. Have you considered selling it yourself? Then you will also get a further discount for being a sales rep. Depending on how much you sell could save you a fair bit. I currently save 40%. Since I love the Avon products, I figured I might as well put my money in my own pocket rather than someone else's. You really don't need to have very many customers to be profitable...a few family members and a few friends and you'll be all set. PLUS, you get to see the brochures earlier and order some of the products as demos before everyone else.
