Firstly, i hope i don't offend anyone blondes (men or women) by using this term, i'm sure blonde people are no more stupid than people with any other colour of hair, so please don't take it personally.
Anyway, what i want to discuss is whether you think the term blond, meant in the way of being silly/stupid/daft/dumb is just applied to women (usually regardless of their actual hair colour i might add) or whether it can apply to men. I ask becuase my partner, who has brown hair, really does seem to have a lot of 'blonde moments' where he does or says really daft things! Can the term apply to men also then? Do you think it's simply offensive to use the term at all, regardless of who it's used on? I want your oppinions on this please!

I have seen guys have those moments that would make a blonde proud. It might be true that they really have more of those moments than any of us do. It is indeed something that should not be made fun of since any one of us enter into the time of senior moments and it can come earlier for some of us. Men also do not color their hair as a rule until grey comes in for some cases.

Well - first - I am a natural blinde, and I am not offended in the slightest by your comments - I'm used to blonde jokes by now! And I guess the term can be applied to both sexes, though men generally try and"hide" their daft moments, whilst women are more up-front about them!

I don't think it is offensive at all!! I am blonde and have "blonde moments" every day it seems like!! I just laugh it off, mu husband loves to give me a hard time and share with his friends the stupid things I do sometimes. (I would rather him say "blonde moments" rather than stupid because that is how I feel sometimes =) I know he isn't doing it to be mean, it is just entertaining I guess...hee. If my husband had moments like I do I wouldn't call him a blonde I would give him a hard time for gettting older and losing his memory =)
