Finaly Quit Runescape!

After about 3 years of playing I have finaly quit, it takes up way too much time of your life. I have been away from runescape for about 2 months now and I really do have more time. I do sometimes want to play again but I have decided to focus more on school and work before I think about playing again. I will sometimes go on for about 10 mins but it really does not have the same appeal as it used to.
Has anyone else quit or trying to quit, I know it took me ages to quit myself with many playing, then not playing then playing again etc just so addictive

I used to play Runescape, years ago. Actually it wasn't really that fun to me and the whole concept of it got boring and stupid after awhile. But while I was playing, it was really fun. I decided, though, that I didn't need to waste my time on Runescape and I'm glad I did quit. :)

Wow lotta old runescape addicts lol. I dont know anything about runescape? What is the difference between runescape and everquest? Anyone know? Just curious!

Im playing this game for years.. I dont see in any near future im gonna quit.. I really dont think im addictive.. What makes me say that is if i want to stop playing runescape for a month i could.. Whenever i got exams i am able to stop it. By the whats your combat lvl in the game.. If u r quitting y dont u give it up to someone or sell it in ebay.. Whats the use of just throwing it in garbage???

You dont know your addictive untill you try and quit :P I was lvl 98 2 years ago and got banned but on my new account I am 94
I should sell it I know just too lazy and always think I may go back, if someone does want to buy give me a shout I might be able to come to an arrangement

i have been playing for around 2 and a half yers, and i am still not at the stage where i want to quit, though i don't have things like school work to focus on.
i am 26, and started playing because when my son goes to bed, i am alone and have nothing to do lol...
obviously i do other stuff too, but i enjoy my game play :)
good for you for thinking of your studies first though :D

Yeah, I agree with playing if you are just doing it to fill your time. When you cancel stuff to play it or let it obstruct your life then you know its time to quit.

Yeah, I mean sure go try it, but you will get addicted, no matter what your age lol, my dad played and got addicted, I don't think I know anyone that didnt. If you are able to not get addicted then it is a great game! But be warned when you start you cant stop ;)

Congratulations on this achievement. I too was highly addicted to the game. I was a member with a few millions and a whip to my name. I couldn't believe how much time I spent of my life on that game. Then I discovered other games like Gunz: The Duel, Guild Wars, and Counter Strike that I am able to play in moderation. Once again, congratulations, and stay sober. I mean stay runescape free ^^.

Yeah same as me. I quit to play mohaa for abit then realised I was playing the same amount of mohaa as I did runescape :S, well now I quit I run a pritty sucessfull business and I wont have the time to go back :P

I admit that I'm also a RUnescape addict. I enjoy playing the computer game so much that I don't eat my lunch anymore because I don't want my game to be bothered. But beacuse of work I had to stop playing. But now that I have read this discussion, I'm intersted to play the game again. I just hope that I still remember my password. lol

Once i started like 2 years ago, played for probably around 5 minutes and on tutorial island i was just like this is retarded...then bout a year ago i tried it again and just freakin got addicted somehow played it every day after school, got real good and made a good amount of money now like all i do is go around pking...but i think im going to quit soon just because i want time but like the one gal said i'll play at night just because im bored and no ones around to talk to. =D gratz on getting rid of it dude

I respect you. This is really hard to quit runescape. The only way i would quit is if i would get hacked or something like that. Its sure that I'll stop soon because im getting older and i don't want to spend all my life on a game. Good luck stopping.

What an accomplishment, I've tried to quite but havn't succeeded. Yes, a very addictive game.
