OK-My Rating Dropped Now Too....

I don't quite know what to think and I surely don't know why....I have had a 10-star since this whole rating business started. I have not been on Mylot in about a week, and I logged in today to catch up and now I only hold a 9-star now. I have read multiple forums about his sort of thing-how people's ratings have dropped, and why someone with a low rating can hold a 10-star. Any ideas of what went wrong? Who else has this happened to? And did it ever go back up?

Yup, there are a small group of people on here who report anything they personally don't agtree with, and they give many people a (-) rating. You must have said somethint that one of them didn't like andthey got together and all gave you a(-) rating on a post. I've gone from a 7 to a 3 because of this group of sanctimoneous snots.

Well that is such a bummer. I have really tried to maintain a good disposition on here, and so far, I haven't read anyone who bashed my opinion in a response anywhere. It is sort of disappointing...now I am anxious to see if I can build it back up to a 10-star. Thanks, guys :) And just for the record, this one has been positively rated for you!

well, i'm really new here and i just recently got a star.. i was 9 the first day, then 10 then next couple of days.. and now, i'm 9 again.. i'm not sure why too.. maybe some gave me -. too bad.. i hope it would go up again..

After not being active here for a couple years, I logged in to find I once again have a 10-star rating. Although, I am really not sure what the rating is used for. Is it merely about status here in the Mylot community (similar to the stars rating system on E-Bay?) Does it affect anything for us, such pay or anything?

OK, well that would make some sense, as I was inactive for about a week. I go through those phases-where I am just not interested in Mylot-whether discussions/ideas are running low, or I am just too busy to jump on. Well I am still at a 9...so I am really hoping I get back to a 10. Especially since I have offered much advice to those who have asked opinions of a 10-star member. Kinda makes me look like I am talking out the side of my mouth.
