Hey has anyone heard of this?! Its basically playing the piano by ear without learning how to read music. Theres a product called 'Pattern Piano and Keyboard' by David Sprunger. I want to take the lessons and also wanted to see if anyone else is interested also.

Thanks, I signed up just for the heck of it so we'll see how it goes. Right now I read music very well, but would like to learn to play without sheet music. Less than a month ago I bought an improvisational home course by Yoke Wong (look it up online) that seems to be pretty good, though it's probably for people that are at least at an intermediate level. So far I'm doing very well on all her techniques, but there is a LOT to learn. If you really want to read music, go to a music store and the lesson books would probably teach you a lot. Start at the beginning and also buy the theory book that goes with each one.

Thanks for your interest! I believe I have a gift in which I can play by ear. I also used to play the trumpet and I can read trumpet music very well. I started playing the piano when I was 5 years old by ear, but I stopped playing a while ago and would like to get back into playing again.
