I don't know about the rest of you but I have been finding myself very forgetful lately. I keep track of all the families events, appointments, etc. But lately I have had to write everything down or it goes right out of my head. Keeping track of the these things for 7 people has always been a challenge but I used to take on this task with little effort. I work outside of the home for my mother and as of the last year she has put much more responsibility on me to do more and more personal things for her. Is my memory finally finding over load, is it that I getting older? I am 36 so a young mom yet or at least I think. Our second child is graduating this year so of course there has been much more on her things to do list but I managed it with our first. What do you think? Can anyone else relate?

I can definitely relate to what you're saying infobyaj36, but I'm quite a bit older than you. It seems like you have a large family to keep track of, as well as working for your mom. I find I need to write a lot of things down nowadays too, and so we keep notepaper, and a pen on our bathroom counter, where we can write our 'to do list etc.' It seems to work for me, and it's a good feeling to check off the things that have been taken care of. All the best to you.

Thank you for posting I am glad I am not alone in this one even though after quite awhile I only seem to have gotten one post. I do write everything down and as of lately my mind seems to be clearer and I am less forgetful I started a new exercise and diet program that I think is making a big difference. Sometimes I think we just have to step back and take some time for ourselves as well as others and things go smoother. Best wishes

Thanks for your comment. I haven't quite figured out what makes a topic really 'take off' on here yet, as I find this discussion very interesting. I too, find that some of my topics don't get much response. I'm glad to hear you're doing better, and you're right, about 'us' needing to step back, and take time for ourselves at times.

the truth is, i am much too forgetful that when i get hold of a pen and paper to note down what was it that crossed my mind i already forget it. thus, i find myself with nothing to write about anymore. when i am to go shopping for groceries, i consult my children on the must buys and list them. only to find out that i have left the list at home when, i go looking for it when i am already at the supermarket. my children find this so amusing that, they no longer allow me to go shopping on my own anymore. this may sound so funny. some friends told me anyway, that i should be happy that this is only the thing that i am going through during my menopausal days. it is much worse for the others.

perhaps you are missing on your balanced diet and sleeping hours. since you are still very young, this shouldn't pose any problem to you yet. i am more forgetful than you, i have to admit, but i am already advanced in years. i will be 54 next month, that explains my forgetfulness. the most important sleeping hours are from 10 pm until 4 am. meaning, we should be in bed from 9:30 pm until 4:30 am if we want to be well refreshed each morning from a good night's rest. i hope that i am of some help to you, infobyaj.
