Why do jewish people reject the divinity of Christ?

I'v read that it's because they don't believe that he was the messiah? I would like to hear this or another reason from jewish people please. I'm just curious and not trying to be confrontational. I'm learning about Jesus myself, and was never baptized as a Christian, but am trying to explore all angles before making a final decision.

Im not a Jewish but i'll try to explain base on my understanding of the bible. I read in the bible that God makes the Jewish hard headed to give way for the conversions of the Gentiles or non Jewish. We,all non Jewish are the Gentiles.God is showing that he has no discrimination to the Gentiles, and he made a promise that in the last days all Jewish believers will be gathered together because they are his original people, and together with the Gentiles will live in heaven. If you are trying to be a christian stay away from the fake church, search the church that represent the 7 church mentioned in the bible.Tip, all the existing christian religion today will not pass the criteria set by Jesus.

With any religious choice, an enquiring mind is a good asset. Certain Christians believe that Jesus was not trying to create a new religion, but, as with John the Baptist, was trying to take Judaism back to its roots, because he felt that the Judaism of Herod and Caiaphus (Jewish King & Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem at the time) had become corrupt and immoral. Many of Jesus' teachings actually reflect the Kabbalist Jewish faith. Obviously, the authorities in power, rejected this, and used their power to oppose Jesus. The Popes have done the same since Christianity became strong. Many Jewish people believed that the Messiah would raise an army, and free them, so were disillusioned by Jesus' stance regarding the Romans, against whom he was cautious not to preach (Render unto Caesar that which is Caesars, etc). They had thought he would overthrow the Romans, and he didn't, so he failed to live up to the role of the Messiah. You might also ask yourself, why do Christians not accept Mohammed? Hope this has been helpful, and good luck with your enquiries.

The 'Noble Qu'ran' is an interesting text, though, as with the Bible, you should be careful about where you get your English language version. I would recommend going to a pro-Islamic website, as the translation will probably be more accurate. Reading anything with a questioning mind, is not bias, it is a form of open-mindedness. I question everything I read, and look for answers to those questions. Unlike 'fightingis..', I suspect that the Bible has raised more questions than it has answered, for you. It certainly did for me. Enjoy your research, question everything and take nothing for granted. All the best.

Many of the Israelites do not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah. They were expecting that the King supposed to be coming was a powerful one as He is the King of kings and so how could they believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah when He was known to be a son of Joseph a carpenter? And they knew His brothers and sisters? The prophecy is that He is the only begotten Son of God and this is true but the Israelites did not understand. The Lord Jesus Christ is the firstborn of Maria and this is true; the Holy Bible did not say that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of Maria. There are other things that make the Israelites especially the Jews would not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

The simple answer is- because they are Jews and not Christians. The same reason why Christians don't believe that Krishna is God or that there is no God but Allah and that Mohammed is his prophet. It is these fundamental differences in belief that make people followers of different religions.

Except...Judaism was first before the others and the longest lasting monotheistic religion. The others; Christianity, Muslim, and others were developed from Judaism.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam have common roots but Hinduism and Buddhism developed independantly (and Hinduism developed before Judaism)

I'm Jewish and here's my thought: If you don't believe the words that Moses wrote about, then you don't believe that Jesus is the messiah. It's simple, but people are going to believe what they want.

Quickly explained: Jesus is not recognized as the messiah because he did not meet the requirements set forth to be the messiah. The reasons are: 1. He did not fulfill the messianic prophecies, which were clear. a.Did not rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. b.Gather all Jews back to Isreal. c.Usher in world peace. d. spread universal knowledge of G-d. 2. He did not embody the personal qualifications of the messiah. a.He was NOT a prophet. Prophecy had ended 350 years before he appeared. b. He MUST be a son of David. Christians claim he was of virgin birth, which means he had no father. c.It is stated he would lead all to study the Torah, yet in the new testament he contradicts the Torah. 3. Biblical translations referring to Jesus are mistranslations. 4. Jewish belief is based on national revelation.

The problem is that invidual jews can believe that he is the Messiah based on their knowledge of the scriptures and prophets but as a whole nation they do not believe and that what is the coming of the Messiah is all about that Israel as a nation will be blessing all other nations. And that time has not yet come.
