What should be the size of RAM that is ideal for a home computer. How can we find the size of RAM? What is the advantage of having more RAM size? What are the various size of RAM that is available?

the best size of RAM to use would be the same as the speed of your processor. for example, you have a 3GHz processor, the best size of RAM would be 3Gb. this way, your processor would be able to utilize its full power.
if you want to know the size of your RAM and you're using windows, goto the Control Panel and open System. you'll see your RAM size in the General Tab.
the advantage of having more RAM, like i said, is the utilization of your processor.
there are various sizes, ranging from the oldest (i know) 4Mb to the biggest (i know) 2Gb.
