From many days I was hearing of the discussion that whether egg is veg or non-veg? Some say that as the embryo is not developed into chick, it is totally veg. But some call it non-veg. I am still in search of its correct answer. I visit a cooking site ndtvcooks.com very frequently, there all veg ingredients are marked green and non-veg ingredients are marked red. I thought I will get my answer here. But there egg is marked yellow, I think they are also in confusion.
Can anyone give me its perfect solution? Anyway I have started giving eggs to my children for the sake of their health. Our's is a veg family and non-veg is not allowed in our house. May God forgive me if I am wrong.

I am a pure vegetarian so I don't eat any animal products at all including milk, honey and eggs.
If you drink milk I don't see much difference between that and eating eggs as the eggs aren't fertilised so aren't baby animals.

Hi, friend!
Thanks for your response, but tell me how can yo do without milk? Don't you take tea or coffee, or that too black. And after a particular age,it becomes necessary for all women to take atleast a glass of milk to avoid oesteoporosis etc. I wonder how can u manage without milk.

an egg is considered vegitarian, though it can come down to personal preferance.
an egg that you buy to eat, is the non fetilised kind, and therefore has no chance of turning into anything.
you need to ask yourself if you believe it to be right or wrong to eat eggs, and not worry too much about others who believe them to be non vegitarian food. as scientifically, they have no living thing inside them, and therefore are not a meat, or animal derivitive.
