Well, after my first payout in mid-march, I finally figured out the payment system of my lot, you know that you have to make the minimum this month to get paid next month, and so on. This month my net was down for over a week during which I couldn't access my lot at all. And I was afraid that last time's payment would be the one I'd see for some time. Well just on the 30th of march, I was at 9.52$, so close, with just one day to make it, and the problem was that the next day I wouldn't have much time as I had a lot to do, but I tried and I tried and I tried. I knew that quantity wouldn't do it, so I answered all discussions with at least 10 good lines and I commented on all the discussions I started because I know that makes a difference too.
I didn't make a whole lot of responses but I tried to squeeze in as many as I could. And then yesterday evening I logged in to see if I'd made it, and imagine my joy as I saw 10.30$ staring back at me. And clicked on it to find the beautiful message waiting for me, that I've been qualified for this month's payment.
Only got one think to say after that.

Hey vega. Congratulations on the success buddy. Hopefully, by april, i'll manage more then the $10 amount, hopefully, 30 or even 40. But, unfortunately, this month, i could not do so, because lately i had not been active on mylot at all due to some extremely urgent and important issues that I had to take care of. Anyway, once again, i'll wish you good luck, and hope the best for you, infact, wish you more than 10 dollars the next month, you should, i guess, probably aim for the 20 dollar mark, or atleast 15, and gradually increase it every month. In the sense, posting regularly!

Yes, it does feel like a small rock in a hard place. When you're trying to over-come all that there is needed to make an earning count. i just try to respond to as much discussions as i possibly could whether they were old or not I find that even when they're very old that's when you could say to yourself mylot will still give me my earnings regardless of how long these discussions have been there. Plus your friends on mylot will thank you even more when they see your new discussions. I remember i was only at 4.24 which was in the month of march. (March 30,2007)I came back with an unusual mission to answer as much discussions and gained a whole lot more. My earnings jumped all the way up to a total of 8.25 on the first of April. I haven't been more glad to see that mylot had given this to me. At first i thought this wasn't possible. Oh well, I guess we really do learn something new everyday! thank you for your discussion.

wow, that is a huge jump, you made 4 dollars in 2 days, that's awesome, goes to show, how far dedication will take you. And I do agree with you that we learn something new everyday, especially on my lot.

congrats on your heroic effort. wish even i cud reach the payout. but alas i have been stranded here and have not reached the payout i don think i will ever make it too. pray for me so that i may reach the payout level i have been trying hard for that wish i can do it before the end of this month it wud b really gr8

Well, you're only on 150 posts. I made a lot of responses when I first started out... I made payout when I had around 450 responses, but after that it gets easier I suppose, with better star ratings and more friends you'll make payout really soon. You should be able to make it this month. Just don't give up...

I didn't get to make it. I have only $9.21 my internet was also down due to my Peoplepc internet no longer had any local access numbers in my area anymore. So I was without it for about 17 days. usually I make over around $15 a month. Congrats on making your payout. But beware after they get done doing what they do sometimes your amount can either go up or go down after they get done calculating everything..well. Happy posting.

Well, I haven't had any earnings problem from my lot, no going down, at least not yet. And I don't calculate anything myself, leave it all to them, you see, I still don't know exactly how they work it out, so I try not to think about it too much and face disappointment or confusion.

Congratulation Vega! I am glad that you made to your minimum payout. Like you I am also last minute working kind of person. I reached my minimum before two days and after that I could not add more to it. Because it was weekend and I was busy with friends and spending time on out door activity.

I guess making the payout for March is why the little guy is dancing. I am happy for you. I didn't realize that responding to discussions we started was part of it, I try to respond when I have something to say that is not repetative, but that is because if people took the time to reply to what I have started it is because they are particpiating in the discussion and should get a response.
Now I know how I made more on days when I thought I answered less.

oh well, the little guy is always happy and positive no matter what, just like me, but he does look a little bit more springy than usual, he he.
Yeah, it does make a difference on how you keep your discussions going and how interactive you are with those too. I noticed it when I came back from my hiatus and that day, all I did was comment and rate on my discussions and I saw that I made good money that day, the same as if I had made 20 good responses.
So, I'm more active with that now. Plus it's just one way to keep your discussions alive and in turn get more responses.

As for me I'm too far to get my first payout. I'm in this community for over a month and not doing great as you do. You know don't have ample time to figure things out here. But I keep going though.
Hope you don't mind my asking.How many weeks did it took you to get your first pay out?And how many responses/post were you able to come up to get then?

well I remember i reached 10 dollars when I was at around 500 posts, but I had gotten quite a few best responses and started lots of discussions of my own, no referrals though, so it was all my work. But now I understand that it's not about the number of responses but their quality and also about how active you are with the discussions you started on your own.

Well actually I made over 10 dollars in February and march, so it is easy to reach payout every month, if you work good enough and hard enough, although i don't see my lot as work at all, because I have so much fun with it. It was only in January that i didn't make 10$ and that was because I joined at the end of the month.
I think it's possible to make more than the minimum payout every month. And you seem to have a good response here, so I think you'll do good if you keep at it.
If you need any help on anything, you can always start a discussion about it or search in the existing ones. People are really helpful here.
