We all know about the 9-11 incident and the impact to the world especially the United States. The incident as far as I know, still remains under investigation. I'm a Muslim, and to tell you the truth, I am quite scared of the perception of people in these 2 regions to Muslims after the 9-11. From what I heard, people there are would look suspiciously to Muslims who wear scarfs or have beards etc. This is also the reason for me holding my travel to these countries. I wanted so much to go after hearing from my friends on the beautiful and great places to visit over there. I'm scared thinking I might get harassed or something, and this is an awful thought, thinking I'll be alone in unfamiliar places. Sometimes it feels sad thinking that we welcome tourists to our country, with open hearts and open arms, but the opposite courtesy is shown by the other party. Am not quite sure on what the real situation are, but if there's somebody who can assure that I can visit with peace of mind, that would be nice :).

i would like to say that type of reaction towards Muslims doesnt happen. but unfortunatly it does. not everywhere, but it happens enough for everybody to be "aware" of it. you also must realize that since 9/11 we have a national terrorism threat status that is almost always noted on the news broadcasts. and its been at the "elevated" level for quite a while now for the government. for the rest of us..in particular ppl who take airplanes etc. the level is High, for all domestic and international flights. and seeing and hearing that often keeps the whole thing towards the front of minds. we dont hear about it happening as much as we used to...but i wont deny that it does occur.
