Payment to cricket players on performance basis

I think already there is a performance based pay, the only thing is that the performanced based components are low. But, more than any such thing, Indian cricket requires a complete revamp of the grass root cricket. What we need is excellent grounds where kids will dive around and become better athletes? What we need is children in schools feel encouraged to take up the game without worrying about politics? Cheers! Ram

Yes i agree we need to reward good performances and not bad performances which is the case with any profession so why should cricket be any different. We should give bonus to players who score century or take five wickets... I feel the endorsements of the players should be totally related to their performances on the field and needs to be regulated by BCCI. Then indian selectors need to be appointed full time so that they can be held accountable and this honary business of selectors should be stopped. Then fitness needs to be increased manifold among indian players so that fielding improves for which there should fitness trainers for all domestic teams.

I will make good for Indian Cricket team.Select players who are in good form.Leave the past glories and all stuff.Who all are presently in form pick tham.Win matches.Play more cricket in internatuional pitches.Dont stuck up with subcontinent pitches.And when considering about the money.I think players are getting plenty for the reason that they were being selected for a match.Chnge that situation.Give money for there performance not for there stardom.Don't rate players accordingly into A class,B class or like.we have already seen what these A class did in World cup.See what Australian Cricket Board is doing.They don't care who a player is from the example of Steve Waugh.And also take off this lobby play in selection.and the zonal wise selection.Also the nasty politics in Cricket Control Board.Try to involve more old players in BCCI.

Last day I saw pakistani team had all contracts cancelled and there will be new contract for all pakistani players. I think that even mr. sharad pawar should look into the matter as pakistani cricket board has done. Yes, I agree with you that our players should be paid on performance basis. Youngsters are key for our success in future.
