How do you get paint out of a carpet?

I just put this carpet down last year and my husband decided to touch up a few areas on the wall WITHOUT putting a dropcloth down first.
Any home remedies out there from some experts?

There is a can of something called "OOPS" we found in the paint department. It takes off dried paint. I used it on my carpet and it did fine. It is not very expensive and I think we had gotten it at walmart. I would do only a very small spot and make sure it doesn't change your carpet color.

There is a product I use for anything that happens with my carpet from pet stains, to paint, to auto grease. It's called "Awesome" and it truley is.
