have you ever been in love with your bestfriend?

my boyfriend right now was my bestfriend.. i love him so much and weve been together for a year and a half now.. but there are just issues that we always argue because of our past, we know a lot about each other,and i just hope im in the right path here.. i love him and i want us to survive..
have you been in this situation? do you think this could work?

ya i think husband & wife should be best friends.then only they can spend a good life.im right now in love with my best friend as well but donno how to say to her :(

Vikki! you know arguing and debating are part and parcel of a friendship. since your boyfriend is your best friend and you love him very much, along with all other good times that you spend, such issues are obvious to occur.
If you know that and are confident your boyfriend reciprocates your feeling, i.e feels the same way about you, then you are bound to be on the right path. And why do you have to think of surviving, don't you trust your boyfriend?

i truly trust him and im secure with his love but im just afraid that we cant keep our relationship just because of the little things but i think your right, it is part of our relationship.. i really want us to work, the only thing i should do is work on the little things that needed to be change like being paranoid sometimes hehe..

I am sure that it can work. All great loves has a foundation of friendship as well. The reason many people do not start relationships with their best friends is because they are scared that it will not work out, and after that they might not even be able to be friends., However u have been together for over a year, and also I am sure that u thought about all things before.
Arguments is something that all people in love have .- no matter if you are best friends in the past or not. Me and my bf also argue, the important thing iws that we kiss and make up afterwards =)

Hmmm.. ur situation is complete different from your qn.. well.. i have been on 3 occasions that i have feelings for my best frds.. 3 best frds of cos.. one ended up avoidin me.. one i din realli wan to destroy the frdship as the frdship has been for 15 yrs alreadi.. the other one.. i still have feelings for her.. but i not sure whether she know anot.. i told her before.. its like 3 yrs ago lo..

I was friends with my hubby for five years before we got together as a couple. He was there for me through several bad relationships and I was there for him in his times of need. We knew a lot about each other before we figured it out, that hey, maybe it is a good idea to be together. I think that if you like a person enough to be considered a friend and if they are always there for you and have your back, then yes, it is a great thing to do. We have been together 15 years now and I still feel he is my best friend and always will be. Let the past go and just love each other, the past is the past and we can't change that. All we can do is live in the present and strive for a great future. Love him and be loved a best friend is the greatest gift in the world.

I am happy for you and I am sure that your relationship will last. Frienship is really a good foundation for any relationship. In my case, my friend and I didn't end up together. He is not my type and I do not want to ruin the friendship. He courted me, but I turned him down. We still are friends. He married a nice girl and I married the man of my dreams.
