I just got a letter from my aunt. It is handwritten. It has been a long long time since i got one last. I think it must have been from my aunt on a birthday. I just love her letters. They make me feel so loved and cared about. How about you? Do you love handwritten letters?

Yes I do love handwritten letters, but unfortunately I do not get any anymore. My grandma and I used to write to each other a lot, but she has arthritis now and is getting older so she cannot see as well as she used to and it is painful for her to write and I do miss it. I can write so much in a letter and she used to write me about 3 or 4 pages full of what she used to get up to.

Do you still write your Grandmother? I wish someone will write you a handwritten letter again soon

Nowadays, I have never received any handwritten letters anymore. I receive only emails and sms daily. I still receive a couple of new year cards with some handwritten greeting words before Chinese new years. At the time when email and sms were not popular then, I used to receive many handwritten letters from my loved ones, friends and pen pals. At present I am still keeping quite a number of these handwritten letters as my precious collection. I feel more intimate to read the handwritten letters and I do like the attractive stamps on the envelopes as well.

I have been using computers and moible for communication nowadays, but I still miss the hand written letter when internet was not popular long times ago. I feel the warmth of the writer when i read the letter, when I read each sentence lines by lines,my feeling is much stronger than when I see it on the net or phone.

The handwriting makes the writer seem much closer to you somehow. It is so much more personal

Ilove very much handwritten letters but at the moment I just have one friend who writes me "using a pen", the other ones use the computer to do it. Receiving written letters is very exciting for me.In a written letter usually the argumensts are more interesting and deepened than in e-mails.

I agree. I think people put more thought and effort into their statements in a letter

Even I love hand written letters with pictures drawn by the side of the letters. It looks amazing and happy to read. My child does attractive drawings on the letter that i write and post to my close relatives.

So do I. I have a whole bunch in a box. It has been a while since i put something in it - this one will go in there after a little while. I want to re read it a few times first.

I agree with that.. Although they are most likely frowned upon when it has anything to do with business, I believe a personal handwritten letter is really special and people should always attempt to write their letters.

I usually use my computer - unless I write a greeting to someone. This letter really inspired me though. I will try to do it myself more often. I'll start with one to my aunt

With the internet and cell phones, handwritten letters seem to be a dying form of communication. I love handwritten letters, they are so much more personal than email. The writer put time and thought in it, it seems more like a part of them.

I agree completely. It seems so much more personal. Seeing my aunts strange and characteristic gs and ss etc make me somehow hear her voice when I read.

HAnd written letters are just great, but it seems like nobody has the time to write 'em anymore. Everybody is using email now and there's just not that something in them even people try to personalize them. Can't remember when I've written letter myself either, must some years back.

I really enjoy emails as well. it is so easy to write a short email and just press send. A great way of comunicating on a day to day basis. But it does not come close to a real letter, one that is well thought through, and hand written
