Hi guys.. I actually heard a friend of mine complain that mylotters who have more friends get more responses to their discussions.. I said that this has nothing to with the number of friends,.. I feel that the quality of the discussion you start is the key for the number of responses you get.. What's your say??

I guess some people believe that their friends will respond to their discussions, but I have to agree with you that the response is really based more on the subject matter, not the number of friends you have.

There are some reliable friends around here who post responses to the discussions a friend has started and I am among them. Although quality discussions are expected to reap some responses, there are a lot of very good ones which get anywhere from zero to 4 simply because no one has noticed them. If I had no friends to count on, I am sure that some of my started discussions would have gotten zero. It seems there are so few only who are interested in items which touch on the environment although, in truth and in fact, it should be everyone's concern. Take a look at those discussions which earned zero responses, you will find out that there are plenty right there which are good subject matter which had remained unnoticed for sometime. With so many mylotters around already, so many discussions get posted, too. So have friends who will surely take a peek at your discussions. They will surely post a response to those items which they have something to share with.

I agree with you. Your disscussion usally gets more responses depending on what the discussion in about.

some members here are like me. i mostly answer discussions which my friends started. i look for quality and interesting discussions my friends had started and so, in my case, yep. the more friends you have, the more responses you'll get.

Personally, I feel that having lots of friends online here in Mylot will indeed help greatly in having our discussions get responded to. The first thing I always do is answer to the discussions my friends have started. When I feel that I have responded to all the new ones that I can find, it is the time that I move on to the discussions of others. In this case, I only respond to those which catch my attention. So, know now that it will be best that you find friends online. Tell your friend about this, too. There is a need for us though to remember posting responses to their discussions so there will be a close tie existing between you and your friends here. Actually it helps a lot if we have many friends here. If I don't post my discussions, I usually find my friends' started discussions worth my while responding to. We kind of share mutual interests.

I have over 100 friends and few respond to my discussions. The few who do are good friends and we have a lot in common. So its not the quantity its the quality. Most of the people who respond to my discussions are not even on my friends list. There are some people here that know how to put together a discussion to get people to respond. I am not one of them. Although I get a lot to my discussions sometimes. most of them I only get one or two to respond.

The topic of the discussion is the major factor. But if nobody knows you then who will respond to you. Look at I am one of your loyal friends (Am I???)
