I write fiction (short stories, novels, YA) and poetry. I am no good at writing articles. I am a story teller. I never thought I'd be able to write short stories because my stories have always tended to be long, but I have been writing short stories lately and I like it. I have a poem that I wrote that I think will be an ideal children's book. Maybe someone will accept it someday. I journal a lot too. This helps me clear my head, analyze stuff and get things down on paper. I want to write a story on my life with fibromyalgia but want it to be good and interesting. I read a book someone wrote about their battle with chronic fatigue syndrome and I found it hard to follow. I don't want my book to be like that.

I like writing fiction. I think thats where I am strongest and have the most fun imagining it and creating it. Most of my stories/ideas revolve around police. But I have a few that are about other things. But I def. prefer fiction.

Good discussion. I enjoy writing children's stories & I'm also working on a paranormal romance. (it's still in the research/planning stage) I don't have any of my stories published yet. I got an interesting rejection letter a while back, it told me I had a good imaganition (sp) and to keep writing. I wish you luck in your writing. What do you like to write?

I write lots of stuff. I love to blog & journal ~ also write lots of poems. I like to write articles ~ mainly features ~ about people w/ special talents. Have had some of these published in local newspapers ~ a college newspaper & a couple of small-town papers. I like to write short stories sometimes. Have tried to write novels ~ but usually can't find the time to write something too long or involved.

I can't rally say that I have a favorite thing about which to write because it's usually the creative process itself that is important. In some poems, I vent my sadness or anger. In other ones, I paint happiness or joy. Sometimes I'm hit by a sudden truth or irony and just have to get it on paper, but there are also poems which I write just to be silly. All of these are important to me, and I write both about real experiences and things which I've simply imagined. I think that the 'real' ones mean the most to me; but it's not like the other ones don't have any value, and I'm sure that there are still some 'fake' ones which are better than 'true' ones.

I like non-fiction the best. That is where the information is and that way you can target a certain market with your book as I did.

I like to write fiction, poems, and songs. I like being creative. Writing those sorts of things gives me a chance to express my creativity and stretch my imagination.

Self-help is usually psychology stuff ~ like how to help yourself get through depression or through loss (like a friend or family member dying). I would like to write some self-help stuff ~ maybe blogs, etc.

I prefer to write fiction that can work as self-help. I try to mold my characters and stories to be as realistic as possible.

Fiction, particularily of the fantasy genre. I like being able to do things that you wouldn't be able to do in non-fiction. and I love the world building process even if it is so easy to take out of control, but then that's probably hwy I like it as much as I do.
